Photo manipulation did not start in the digital age, since the beginning of photography image makers have been compositing their shots. This iconic portrait of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln is a composite of Lincoln's head and the Southern politician John Calhoun's body. I guess Linclon was unable to strike a noble enough pose.

ReplyDeleteif it's true it's very interesting. i know a photo of queen Elizabeth has been painted over an unidentified french woman, but that's it.
I did not know that. That's pretty cool. Maybe in another post you can go in to more detail as to how they did it?
